The Sandbar is on beautiful Anna Maria Island and we made a quick stop there yesterday and had this delicious Margarita in the air conditioned bar watching out over the white sand beaches and glistening Gulf of Mexico.
Don’t let that plastic glass fool you, this margarita was one of the freshest tasting margaritas I have had in a long time. It was a gorgeous day and one could of easily whiled the day away here. The bar is a full service bar and has many tempting drinks to try. They had just gotten in a Pina Colada machine the day before and were setting it up when we were there. I’m trying one of those next time!
The Sandbar is also a full menu restaurant and from a few of the dishes we saw go by we will be going back to soon to watch a gorgeous sunset. The Sandbar is at the north end of Anna Maria Island. Parking as with most beaches is at a premium and they do have valet parking. We did find the valet guy a little grumpy. The rest of the staff we had contact with couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful.
On Sundays they have a Jazz Brunch from 10 – 3. The restaurant also recently purchased a farm to be able to insure “localvore” for the restaurants produce which I find very exciting. There is nothing better than to know where your produce is coming from and that it is local.
