I went to Lettuce Lake last week and after walking several miles decided it was time for lunch. I had been to MOSI a few weeks before and had spotted this restaurant on the way there. The parking lot was busy and it was a little after the lunch hour so that was a good sign. So after driving around a bit we decided to go back. My friend had never heard of Dim Sum before and she was pleasantly surprised with it. We ordered a couple of things from the Dim Sum menu, Shrimp Balls and Pan Fried Dumplings.
I had never had shrimp balls prepared this way and they were so good and light. I am going to have to look into making these at home as the restaurant is about 45 minutes away. The pan fried dumplings were perfect too, maybe the best I’ve ever had. This restaurant definitely served some of the best Chinese food I’ve had since moving from Boston. This would be a great place to come with a group of friends so that you could really sample the dim sum menu.
The wrappers on these dumplings was freshly made and the filling light and wonderful, full of big flavors.
We ordered from their lunch menu and most of the lunch specials were $6.99 and included the drink and choice of steamed or fried rice. I ordered the Beef Pepper Steak and this was some of the best beef steak I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant, fork tender and full of flavor.
My friend ordered the Beef and Broccoli and said the same thing about her beef. I’m always a little leery sometimes to order beef because I’ve had some really tough and tasteless beef served to me, but this was not the case.
I can’t wait to be back in the area again so I can go again to this restaurant. Service was very good the day we were there. It looks like the wait staff all helps each other out and were very attentive. Their take out menu says they serve New York Style Chinese and Dim Sum.
