Recently I decided I was in the mood for Greek Food and off to the Acropolis Greek Taverna my friend and I went.
It was a gorgeous cool Florida evening so we opted to sit outside and enjoy a little happy hour and a bite to eat. They do a 2 for 1 Happy Hour here, check the website for hours in case they change. Right now it is 3 – 7. It was another Margarita afternoon on the sidewalk and we sat and chatting watching all of the cars cruise 7th Avenue. Fun, fun, fun! When we got out of the car look what greeted us, only in Ybor.
Yep, he stopped strutting long enough to let me take his picture.
We ordered some dinner and I got the Gyro Platter you see above, it was very good. Mine came with fries and loaded with feta cheese on top. I loved the small Greek Salad with the fresh slab of Feta cheese on top sprinkled with some herbs. My friend ordered a Ginger Chicken Salad. The dressing was very good! If you are in the mood to soak up some of the atmosphere on 7th Ave. this just might be where you want to be. This might not be the best Greek food in the Tampa area but it is good and the portions are generous. It hits the spot if you are craving Greek!
